Description :
Summary: A fascinating set of eight vintage pharmacy bottles ranging from 5.5" to 10.5" tall, including embossed and labeled examples from historic drug companies. Highlights include two embossed Owl Drug Co. bottles—one in light purple and one in greenish-blue—plus a labeled Extractum Nucis Vomicae bottle, a clear Acid Nitric HNO₃ bottle, and several unmarked vessels. Some pieces glow under UV light, suggesting uranium or manganese content. A compelling mix of medical history, glass artistry, and collector intrigue. Manganese glass: This type of glass was used to decolorize glass and can be found in clear or colored pieces that have a faint green glow under UV light. Pre-1930s manganese glass is rarer and can be more valuable than common Depression-era uranium glass. Maker(s): Owl Drug Co. (embossed) Pharm. Musshianae (label) Unmarked/embossed acid bottle Material: Pressed and blown glass Color Palette: Clear, light purple, greenish-blue Dimensions: 5.5" to 10.5" tall Design Features: Embossed logos and pharmaceutical terms Paper labels with Latin and chemical names Varied neck and base styles Some UV-reactive glass Era: Late 19th to early 20th century Condition: Very good vintage; minor residue and label wear consistent with ageItem Details
