Description :

Step right up to a piece of midway magic. This vintage chalkware statue, likely awarded as a carnival prize during the mid-20th century, captures the playful spirit of Depression-era and postwar amusement culture.  Made from plaster of Paris molds, they were hand-painted in vibrant hues.  These figures were once coveted trophies for lucky winners at games of chance. This particular 'tomboy' style, featuring the figure in wide trousers and a cap, was popular in the 1930's (e.g.:  Hollywood character - Marlene Dietrich).
Dimensions : 5 in W x 16 in H x 4 in D
