Description :

An exquisite vintage decanter featuring ruby red cased glass with intricate hand-cut white patterns and a stopper.  Bohemian glass (associated with the Czech Republic) has a rich history dating back to the late 13th century  By the 1600's, Bohemian glassmakers perfected a technique for creating crystal glass that was superior to Italian glass.  the "cut to clear" technique became the hallmark of Bohemian glassmaking especially during the 19th and 20th centuries.  Often these decanters would be seen gracing the tables of aristocracy and the upper middle class across Europe and beyond.

There appears to be a flaw in the glasswork at the top of the handle (outside).  See pictures.
