Description :

Summer Patterns presents a vibrant floral arrangement cascading from a structured planter, set against a geometric lattice backdrop. Friberg balances organic movement with architectural order—lush reds, blues, and greens spill forward in loose, expressive strokes, while the repeating diamond pattern behind them adds rhythm and contrast. The watercolor’s layered washes and controlled detailing create a lively yet harmonious composition, capturing the warmth and abundance of summer with Friberg’s characteristic clarity and charm.

Artist Bio — Gerry Friberg

His work blends traditional watercolor technique with a contemporary sense of pattern, color, and design, often incorporating structured elements that frame or contrast with natural subjects.

Friberg studied fine art through regional programs and continued professional development, refining a style rooted in clean draftsmanship and layered washes. His paintings have been shown in Northwest galleries, juried exhibitions, and community art shows, and his work is held in private collections throughout Washington and Oregon.
