Native American Hopi Pottery Bowl, Miniature Pueblo Pottery, & Hector Marrero Studio Vessel – Lot of 4 A mixed lot of Native American and studio pottery, featuring both traditional pueblo-style bowls and a signed modernist vessel by Puerto Rican potter Hector Marrero. Hopi Pottery Bowl (1): Traditional hand-coiled and painted clay bowl with geometric black-on-red design. Approx. 3.5" H × 4.5" W. Miniature Pueblo Pottery Bowl (1): Light clay with hand-incised Greek key and wave patterns, approx. 2" H × 3.5" W. Hector Marrero Studio Vessel (1): Wheel-thrown stoneware vase with white glazed upper body and textured ochre base featuring stylized human figures in turquoise. Signed piece, Puerto Rico. Approx. 5.5" H × 4" W. Blackware Bowl & Saucer (1 set): Pueblo-inspired black pottery with incised feather and wave designs. Bowl approx. 2.5" H × 4" W; saucer approx. 5.5" diameter. Era: Mid to late 20th Century Makers: Hopi Tribe (USA); Hector Marrero (Puerto Rico); Pueblo style (attributed) Condition: Very good vintage condition; minor surface wear, no major chips or cracks. Historical Note: Hopi pottery continues a centuries-old tradition of coiled clay vessels decorated with symbolic geometric designs representing water, crops, and migration. The Hector Marrero studio piece reflects the influence of Puerto Rican modernist pottery of the mid-20th century, celebrated for blending indigenous Caribbean motifs with contemporary design.
