Description :
“Otter Days” is a framed print by William Ryan, depicting a serene sea otter floating calmly on its back. Rendered in soft monochrome tones, the piece emphasizes texture, light, and the gentle expression of the otter as it drifts across still water. Ryan’s attention to detail—particularly in the fur and reflective surface—creates a peaceful, intimate wildlife portrait. The print is presented in a dark wood frame with a clean white mat, giving it a refined, gallery‑ready presence. William Ryan is an American wildlife and landscape artist known for his sensitive, naturalistic portrayals of North American animals and coastal environments. Working in graphite, watercolor, and print media, Ryan focuses on quiet, contemplative moments in nature—otters, birds, woodland animals, and shoreline scenes rendered with careful observation and soft tonal control. Ryan studied fine art through regional programs and private instruction, developing a style rooted in realism and field‑based sketching. His work has been exhibited in Northwest galleries, wildlife art shows, and curated nature‑themed exhibitions, and is held in private collections throughout the United States. Collectors appreciate his ability to capture the calm, expressive character of wildlife with both accuracy and warmth.Artist Bio — William Ryan
