Description :

This offering includes an antique violin labeled “Petro Antonio Della Costa Treviso fecit, Anno 17–” (the final digits of the date are cut off). The instrument displays age, character, and workmanship consistent with early 20th‑century European trade violins but could be older. Included with the violin is a selection of Czech and German bows, also from the same estate collection.

    • The date is incomplete due to the label aging at the final digits.

    • Top: Spruce with even grain

    • Back & Ribs: Maple with attractive figure

    • Scroll: Traditional trade‑era carving with visible tool marks

  • Varnish: Warm amber‑brown with age‑appropriate wear

    • Cosmetic wear consistent with age and long storage. Several old crack repairs were found and photographed.
