Description :

A richly detailed, character-filled 1984 sculpture by renowned Americana artist Michael Garman, titled Pay Phone Caller. This hand-painted cast sculpture captures a realistic street scene: a weary man making a call at a public pay phone, holding a cup and surrounded by everyday objects such as a sagging paper bag full of belongings and a chained phone book.

Garman’s signature style—gritty textures, expressive faces, and authentic working-class storytelling—is fully present here. The sculpture retains its original hangtag/COA and gold foil maker’s label on the underside. An excellent display piece for collectors of Americana, 1980s nostalgia, and Michael Garman productions.

Note: Some internally dirty-looking areas are visible within the payphone housing and textured surfaces, consistent with age and Garman’s intentionally weathered realism.
