Description :

A finely crafted Japanese Imari porcelain plate from the Meiji period (1868–1912), showcasing a serene landscape of mountains, rivers, and stylized clouds. Graceful cranes soar above pavilions and pine trees, rendered in underglaze cobalt blue with iron-red enamel accents and shimmering gilded highlights.

The central cartouche features a red seal mark integrated into the scene, while the base bears a blurred underglaze blue mark within a square—characteristic of Arita ware from the late 19th to early 20th century.

This piece exemplifies the export tradition of Meiji-era Imari porcelain, blending classical blue-and-white aesthetics with vibrant overglaze decoration and gold embellishment.

Dimensions: Approx. 14.25" diameter

Markings: Red seal cartouche; underglaze blue square mark to base.
