Description :
A finely crafted decorative covered bowl in painted and gilded wood, paired with a substantial brass stand. The domed lid features overlapping scalloped motifs reminiscent of lotus petals or tiled roof forms, finished in textured gold and topped with a teardrop finial. The bowl continues the gilt surface for a unified, luminous presentation. Resting on a solid, weighty brass stand with bold scroll feet and a rectangular base, the piece offers a striking contrast of materials—light woodwork elevated by heavy metal support. The underside retains its original “Made in Philippines” label; the base is inscribed “1997 HPI.” Dimensions: Bowl with lid: 11" W x 8" H Stand: 11" L x 7.5" W x 3.75" H Notes: Materials: Painted and gilded wood; solid brass Condition: Light surface wear consistent with age; structurally sound Provenance: Marked “Made in Philippines”; base inscribed “1997 HPI” Display: Ideal as a centerpiece or collector’s accent
