Description :
A sculptural porcelain decanter crafted by Limoges for Larsen Cognac, this 1969 “Invincible” edition is shaped as a stylized Viking longship. The sail bears the word “INVINCIBLE,” while the base reads “COGNAC LARSEN France.” Raised wave motifs ripple across the hull, and gold trim highlights the contours of the vessel. The original stopper, shaped like a flag, is intact and gilded. Larsen, founded in 1926, is renowned for its distinctive Viking ship decanters—an homage to the founder’s Norwegian heritage. This 1969 edition, titled Invincible, stands among the most iconic designs, highly sought after by collectors of mid-20th century spirits and decorative porcelain. Underside marked: “Genuine Limoges Made in France 1969.” A standout crossover between collectible barware and figural sculpture, ideal for display in themed interiors or vintage liquor collections. Maker: Larsen Cognac / Limoges, France
Date: 1969
