Description :

Large, solid wood buffet cabinet. Measuring 77x23x33, it is a large statement piece for any home. 3 door cabinet, with shelving inside for storage needs of all kinds. There is no locking mechanism, the keyholes are for show. Some wear on the piece due to age and use, with a wood stain on the surface in a corner- see last photo.

Center cabinet door features a carving with the name "Niels Ebbesen". Niels was a Danish squire, known for his assassination of Gerald III, in 1340. The death of the Count of Helstein-Rendsburg meant the end of Holstein rule in Denmark. Today, he is seen as a national hero, with streets named in his honor, as well as many paintings and statues. A great piece of Scandinavian history that will surely create conversation to any who bring this piece home.

Dimensions : 77 in L x 23 in W x 33 in H
