Description :

A warm live edge table on steel hairpin legs, with Pacific Northwest character in a size that fits a kitchen or small dining room.

Details

  • Top: Solid wood planks joined into a square top with natural live edges and a glossy clear finish; appears to be Douglas fir
  • Legs: Four raw steel hairpin legs with mounting plates
  • Measurements: 42"W x 42"D x 30"H
  • Seating: Comfortably seats four
  • Condition: Used, in good shape. The wood shows natural knots and checking, including a small crack near a knot on the underside and a hairline split along one seam on the top.
  • Estimated Value: $150–$350

Highlights

  • Style: Rustic meets mid-century modern. The natural edges and bold grain do the decorating.
  • Versatile: Good as a dining table, a breakfast nook table or a roomy work desk
  • A Bit of History: Hairpin legs were patented in 1941 by Henry P. Glass, who designed them to use as little steel as possible during wartime shortages. They became a mid-century modern icon.
