Handmade during Chappel’s highly collectible Davis Knives era in Spokane, Washington (named in honor of his grandfather, Roderick Davis), this piece is a masterclass in aerodynamic geometry and high-luster finishing.

This specific knife is a serialized collector's prize, hand-engraved as the "Impact 15th" in the series. The obverse ricasso features deep, crisp stamping and hand-engraving detailing the model, year of production (1982), and the premium steel type (440C). The reverse ricasso bears the highly coveted, authentic hand-engraved signature script: Roderick "Caribou" Chappel / Davis Knives.

True to Chappel's legendary reputation, the double-edged dagger blade boasts flawless symmetry with a perfectly executed central ridge line, aggressive swedge lines, and a breathtaking, flawless mirror-polished finish. The handle is constructed from contoured, vibrant yellow paper micarta scales pinned tightly to the full tang, flaring gracefully into an integrated guard and terminating with a lined lanyard hole.

The knife is accompanied by an original, robust, custom-fitted brown leather belt sheath, complete with a distinctive green-accented snap fastener and exceptional heavy-duty perimeter stitching.
