Description :

An exceptional, investment-grade example of an authentic custom "Hunting Leopard Combat Bowie", originally designed by the legendary master knifemaker Rodrick Caribou Chappel and crafted under Davis Knives in Spokane, Washington.

This massive, highly stylized fighting bowie features Chappel's unmistakable avant-garde design language, blending sweeping aerodynamic geometry with impeccable ergonomics. Presenting a stunning mirror-polished finish and a commanding hand presence, this rare piece is a premier acquisition for serious collectors of high-end, classic American custom blades.

  • Profile: Signature high-swept recurve trailing-point Bowie with a deeply hollow-ground primary edge.
  • Finish: Flawless, ultra-high-reflector mirror polish across the entire blade bevel.
  • Top Line: Cleanly executed top swedge/fuller line that emphasizes the blade’s aggressive, dynamic curvature.
  • Engravings & Makers Marks:The show side of the blade features a beautiful, highly detailed script etching reading: "Roderick Caribou Chappel... Hunting Leopard Combat Bowie."The reverse side of the blade near the ricasso is cleanly stamped with the workshop pedigree: "DAVIS KNIVES / SPOKANE, WA / Hand Crafted By / Roderick Chappel", along with the individual serial/inventory identifier #4446.Hilt,
  • Guard: An oversized, mirror-polished solid brass lugged guard. The forward-swept, angular design acts as an aggressive hand shield while balancing the blade's forward weight

  • Spacers: Accentuated by precision-stacked black, white, and striking red spacers flanking both the guard and pommel
  • Pommel: A heavy, sculpted solid brass butt cap featuring a precision-drilled lanyard hole, completing the knife's seamless weight distribution.
  • Overall Length: Approximately 14.25"
