Description :
The Crimson Fairy Book, edited by Andrew Lang, is one of the celebrated volumes in Lang's renowned Fairy Book series, which gathered traditional folk and fairy tales from cultures around the world. This collection includes classic stories of magic, adventure, princes, princesses, giants, dragons, and enchanted kingdoms, presented for both young readers and collectors of classic literature. This 1903 Edition was published by Longmans, Green, and Co. of London, New York, and Bombay. The volume is illustrated by the acclaimed artist H. J. Ford, featuring eight colored plates and numerous black-and-white illustrations throughout. Bound in its original crimson cloth with elaborate gilt cover decoration depicting a knight, dragon, and fairies, the book is an attractive example of early twentieth-century children's publishing. Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed.Full payment must be made by 8:00 p.m. the day after auction closes. If total payment is not received before the pick-up date & time, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.
Pick-up information will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction closes.All items not picked up during the designated times will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. When possible, and at our sole discretion, an alternate pick-up time may be arranged. If this is possible, an appropriate fee will be charged.
A 12% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax are added to the winning bid amount when invoiced. Sales tax is waived for licensed re-sellers.
