Description :
Mature audience rated. Author Jack Katz. 1970s era series. Visually striking assortment of "The First Kingdom"" comic books. The collection highlights the series’ signature blend of fantasy and science‑fiction themes, known for its intricate artwork and epic storytelling.
The artwork features muscular, heroic figures clad in elaborate, otherworldly costumes, set against vivid backgrounds filled with cosmic or mythic elements. The title "THE FIRST KINGDOM" appears boldly across the top of each cover in stylized, metallic colored lettering that enhances the grand, mythic tone of the series.
Each cover is richly colored, with dynamic compositions that depict action scenes, fantastical creatures, and sweeping landscapes. The visual style is reminiscent of classic, hand‑painted fantasy art, with dense linework and dramatic shading that emphasize the epic scale of the narrative.
Several issues have fluorescent color and can be highlighted with black light. The collection reflects the series’ reputation for detailed world‑building and visually ambitious storytelling, making it an appealing set for collectors, fans of vintage comics, or enthusiasts of fantasy illustration.
