Description :
Traditional Japanese woodblock print depicting travelers along the mountainous pass at Okabe, part of the historic Tōkaidō Gojūsan Tsugi (Fifty‑Three Stations of the Tōkaidō) series. The scene features figures carrying bundles along a winding path, framed by steep forested slopes and flowing water, rendered in the classic ukiyo‑e style with crisp linework and atmospheric gradients. The print includes Japanese calligraphy and publisher’s seals consistent with Edo‑period designs, with visible title cartouches and artist inscriptions. Colors remain strong with good detail throughout. Condition:
Unframed print. Light handling wear consistent with age. No tears or losses observed. Paper remains stable with clear imagery and intact impressions. Notes:
A fine example of traditional Japanese printmaking, suitable for collectors of ukiyo‑e, historic travel series, and Asian art.
Dimensions : 15 in W x 9.5 in H
