Description :
Victorian gentleman’s shaving stand or dressing cabinet featuring a tall central mirror flanked by marble surfaces above drawers and cabinet storage. Constructed in walnut or mahogany veneer with attractive burl veneer drawer fronts, brass hardware, and decorative Eastlake-style details. The piece retains its original marble tops, beveled mirror, and caster wheels. Interior drawers include a velvet-lined compartment likely intended for grooming tools or personal accessories. These marble-top shaving stands were popular bedroom furnishings in the late 19th century before modern bathrooms became common. Today they make excellent vanities, entry mirrors, or decorative accent cabinets. Late 19th century, circa 1880–1900. Good antique condition with expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 74" OAH x 56" W x 19.75" D
