Description :

This original watercolor by Danny Mayes captures a tranquil Northwest waterfront scene with sailboats gliding across calm water beneath snow‑capped mountains. Mayes uses cool blues, violets, and soft grays to build atmosphere, giving the piece a serene, early‑morning stillness. The foreground trees and shoreline anchor the composition, while the distant peaks rise in luminous layers—classic Mayes in both palette and mood.

His brushwork is loose yet intentional, allowing the boats and reflections to feel alive without overworking the detail. Signed at lower right, the painting is a strong example of Mayes’ ability to blend expressive gesture with recognizable Northwest landscape elements.
