Description :
Two vintage glass display vases and an antique clock! - Classic lead crystal vase from Waterford is in the Clara design. We know this is an older piece as it made in Ireland and most of their production moved offshore in the past decades. Measures 7" H. - Striped free-form vase with a swirled base is blown glass, but has no maker mark. However, we think it is an art piece given the depressions where the artist would hold the pieces to stretch the glass points. Measures 9" H. - To be honest, we debated about including this antique clock, but finally couldn't resist. It is a wonderful piece but has a couple of major flaws we want to draw your attention to. We don't think they really interfere with the enjoyment of the design, but you can judge for yourself. The exterior of the clock is porcelain and looks very German/French in origin - extremely close in design to Dresden clocks. It has Ansonia clockworks (see close up of clock face), but the only mark we can find on the exterior of the clock is on the base where is says "HG Bates". The design is lovely with intricate interlocking floral patterns on the sides and great gold highlighting around the cherubs and lovers on the front. The curly edges and delicate butterflies make it a wonderful feast for the eyes and the metal finishing around the face/glass cover are really pretty! Measures 12" H x 14" W x4.5" D. Please be advised that while it will look nice on a shelf, be aware of the following as shown in the last 3 photos: there has been a poorly done repair to a break on the lower left base, the back inner workings door is missing, and the clockface near the numeric 12 has been damaged. The clock has not been tested as we didn't have a key, so you may need to check the inner workings, too.
