Description :

Offered here is a striking set of three original batik artworks commissioned by Singapore Airlines and created by renowned Malaysian artist Seah Kim Joo, a pioneer in modern batik painting. Each piece is mounted on wood and framed in Malaysian hardwood, showcasing traditional wax‑resist techniques, layered dyes, and the artist’s signature textural detailing. The scenes reflect Southeast Asian life and culture, including a fishing‑village motif similar to those featured on the bulkhead panels of Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 747 aircraft.

All three artworks retain vivid color and strong surface integrity. The frames show edge wear consistent with age and handling, and the paper backing is torn on each piece. One frame includes the original Singapore Airlines label confirming the artist and commission history.

Dimensions • Figurative/Woman Artwork: approx. 25" H × 19" W • Windmill Artwork: approx. 19" H × 15" W • City Artwork: approx. 19" H × 15" W

A rare opportunity to acquire a complete commissioned set from Seah Kim Joo—ideal for collectors of aviation history, Southeast Asian art, or mid‑century textile techniques.

Condition Art excellent; frames show wear; backing torn.

Provenance Singapore Airlines commission; artist label present on one piece.
